I am an Assistant Professor of British Literature at King University in Bristol, TN. I graduated with my PhD from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2014. I am a wife, mother of two littles, and a progressive Christian who is eager to acquire wisdom and pursue a meaningful life. I’m also interested in digital humanities, digital and face-to-face pedagogy and teaching with technology. I fervently desire to reach hearts and change lives through transformative experiences in my classroom. I strongly believe that, done correctly, online education can be just as rewarding and life-changing as its face-to-face cousin. My research interests include the body, gestation and parturition, modernism and Virginia Woolf, feminist studies and women’s writing, postmodernism and contemporary lit, British lit, and disability theory. I love to help others, so if you are an undergrad, graduate student, or fellow early academic and have any questions about graduate school, publishing, the job market, academia, or beyond, please shoot me an email!
